This is our last day in Indiana before heading the 2100
miles to Oregon. We decided to stay the
entire day as Patty was able to get and appointment with an Endocrinologist (Diabetes
DR.) at 3:00 pm. That was too late to
leave on Tuesday as we originally planned.
We are scheduled to be at the Rally site I n Oregon on Sunday the 16th,
12 days away. Since the travel is
basically flat roads for the first 1100 miles we are going to go farther the
first 3 days than we want to do as a normal routine. We are planning to travel around 400 miles a
day for the first 3 days which should get us to the Rocky Mountains, then we
will slow down.
Anyway, the last day we both saw our new dentist in Crawfordsville. It was sort of funny that we made the appointment
a couple of months ago and Tracy, my daughter-in-law made her appointment for
the same day and DR just after ours.
After the Dentist we did some errands in preparation for the long trip
to Oregon. We got some basic food and some bottled water
and washed the truck.
In the evening we had my grandkids and parents over for a
cook out with steaks for adults and hotdogs for the kids. All 3 kids were there, Livy, Savannah, and
Bailey. A good time was had by all. We said our goodbyes and we are now ready for
the trip to Oregon.
Took a walk in the morning. View of our site from across the lake. |
Everybody eating |
Stay tuned!
